Préparation

Faites bouillir l'eau, le cumin et les graines d'anis pendant 5 minutes.
Quand il fait chaud, ajoutez la mélasse, le sucre brun et le shortening.
Ajouter la levure.
Mélanger la farine et le sel.
Laisser lever 1-1/2 heure dans un endroit chaud.
Ajoutez la farine de seigle graduellement. Si elle est collante, ajoutez plus de farine; le seigle absorbe l'eau plus lentement que la farine ordinaire, alors tenez-vous à l'écart.
Laissons se lever à nouveau.
Former 2 pains; laisser lever.
Cuire au four à 190 degrés pendant 45 minutes.
